Global News publishers arrested over libelious story about Tunde Folawiyo and Ifeoma Williams
The
publishers of Global News were yesterday arrested in connection with a
scandalous story involving Tunde Folawiyo, the business magnate and
entrepreneur.
Segun
Ogunbunmi of Global News and Kunle Rasheed of Global Excellence were
arrested after publishing a story in Global News which alleged that Mr.
Folawiyo had been involved in an affair with former beauty queen Ifeoma
Williams. (Screen shot of the story above)
Mr.
Folawiyo had responded, through his solicitors, demanding a full
retraction of the story as well as a public apology. In a letter,
Folawiyo’s solicitors gave Mr. Ogunbunmi a maximum of 7 days to issue a
satisfactory apology.
The letter, dated 12th July,
warned that Mr. Ogunbunmi was liable to face criminal charges based on
the defamatory nature of the Global News article. Following Mr.
Ogunbunmi’s failure to retract the story, the matter was reported to AIG
of Zone 2 as well as Umar Manko, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police
in another letter.
The letter stated in part:
"I
sincerely urge you to use your good offices to investigate the actions
of Mr. Ogunbunmi and his organisation with a view to prosecuting them
for criminal libel,"
"I fear that the very fabric of our society will continue to decay if 'journalists' such as this are allowed to publish defamatory statements recklessly and with impunity against well meaning Nigerians."
The
arrest of Messrs Ogunbunmi and Rasheed was a direct result of an
investigation of criminal libel as investigated by the police. It was
also instructive to note that the pair had failed to respond to several
invitations by the police and were consequently detained in Zone 2
police headquarters. Mr. Rasheed has since been released while Mr.
Ogunbunmi remains in police custody.

Lagos State Government Will Seal Your House If You Display Clothes Outside Indiscriminately
The state Commissioner for Environment, Mr Tunji Bello, yesterday after
the monthly sanitation exercise said, the State Government will seal up
any building where residents display their clothes outside
indiscriminately.
According to him, spreading of washed clothes on fences, frontage of buildings and bridge railings have become the norm in some parts of the state and the practice constitutes a nuisance to the environment. Tough actions would be taken against erring persons. Houses where compound residents also hang their clothes outside will be sealed, Mr Bello concluded.
LAWMA officials have also been directed to pack those clothes as refuse wherever they see them.

My Boyfriend Impregnated Me, My Mother Sold My Baby ––17-Year-Old Girl
Seventeen-year-old Blessing Godspower, on Wednesday narrated how her
mother sold her eight-month-old baby. The mother, Onyinyechi Nwabueze,
38, was paraded by the police at the ‘A’ Division of the Plateau State
Police Command.
Policemen from the division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Victor Dimkpa, a Chief Superintendent of Police, had rescued the baby, named Chiamaka, in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
Blessing, who was staying with her mother at Rukuba Road area of Jos North, was put in the family way by her boyfriend, now no where to be found.
After baby Chiamaka was delivered, Blessing’s mother decided to get rid of the baby. According to her, on July 19, her mother sent her on a phony errand in order to effect the “diabolical” act.
She said, “My mother sent me on an errand, but when I came back I asked for my baby and my mother asked, ‘which baby?’ She feigned ignorance and at that point I started crying and reported the incident to the Police.”
Police Commissioner, Mr. Chris Olakpe said, “After the mother sent her daughter away, she (Nwabueze) stopped a tricycle and took the baby to the first receiver, one Eucharia Anyaegbu. Anyaegbu transferred the baby to the second receiver, Rita Maduako, who finally sold the baby to 53-year-old unmarried woman, Grace Nnadozie.”
Nnadozie, however, told our correspondent that after she applied to an orphanage home for a child without any result for the past two years, she sought Anyaegbu’s help.
She said she gave N500,000 to Anyaegbu for the baby. Anyaegbu gave N350, 000 to Maduako. Maduako was to give N200,000 to the baby’s grandmother.
But Nwabueze denied that she sold the baby. She said her daughter was very wayward, so she decided to give the baby out to somebody else who would take proper care of her.
She said, “How can I sell my granddaughter. My daughter is not capable of taking care of the baby and I decided to give her to somebody who will take proper care of her.”
Mrs Nwabueze however confessed that she lost her husband in 2007 and since then, she and the six children she had with him, had been finding things difficult.

Davido's Girlfriend Goes Total Nude; Reveals their Bedroom Act
Davido just returned from Kenya and one of the girl he "enjoyed" while
there has been spilling the beans with regards to what they did in the
bedroom. Below is what the bad girl said on their sexual experience:
So what is all this wahala about Davido blocking you off of his facebook?
Pendo: If people had done even a little research, they would know that Davido does not even have a facebook account. I NEVER said I was in touch with him through Facebook. I got in touch with him through a good friend of his *redacted* and that's where everything started. He did the intro.
So, seriously, did you sleep with Davido?
Pendo: Errrrrrrrrrrm (laughs cheekily)
So why did you do this? Do you do this for money?
Pendo: (Laughs) No, I didn't get money from him. I didn't WANT money from him. I did it simply cuz I find him hot and he is pretty legit in the music industry in Africa. Yeah, I am attracted by his talent, his fame, his power, but honestly, who isn't? And people are talking so much because a lot of women wanted to be in my shoes, but were not. I'm not afraid to go after what I want. That's just me. And I am unapologetic for it. I am content that I got what I wanted -which was to know him- and I guess it just naturally progressed from there...
So was this a one time thing then?
Pendo: No, I would do it again. Gladly. I don't regret it at all.
Of course you know now I am gonna ask about the "D"... choose your own words to describe it.
Pendo: He was perfect.
Nooooooooo, more than that. DESCRIPTION.
Pendo: (Laughing) Ok, ok. Errrrrrrrrrrm, he is much better than your "average Kenyan". He is big. Both length and width. (Giggles) And best part is he REALLY knows what he is working with.
Haha, so you loved ALL OF HIM?
Pendo: (Giggles) Ha, you won't let this go will you. Haha, no seriously though, he has CRAZY moves, he kept it fresh for a couple hours. I am impressed. Definitely the best...(hesitates) Ok maybe not the best I ever had, but he is up there.
So was this a one night stand or will you be seeing him again?
Pendo: Davido is not only a good lover but a gentleman. Not only did he not publicise the affair, but he left me with some personal mementos to remember him. I don't think a one night stand does that. Plus there is still communication going on. I'm not saying we are dating, but we are definitely still talking. He did not "hit it and quit it".
Her name is Pendo. Talking about Davido's thing, she said "He' is big in LENGTH and WIDTH".

DISGACE INSURANCE BABES MARRIAGE ENDS OVER ADULTERY
- Plus How She
Was Doing It With Her Boss
When
a Lagos-based businessman, Mr. Fidelis Ogwugwa, lawfully married his wife on
November 25, 1994, it was with high hope of a blissful union with her power
drunk ex-insurance wife, Charity. But today, that dreams has been shattered by
his wife who thought that getting to the top is by having an office romance
with one of her boss.
As
you read this, we can authoritatively tell you that a Delta State High Court, Kwale, has
dissolved the 19-year-old marriage of a Lagos businessman, Mr Fidelis Ogwugwa
that produced two children, a boy and a girl on the ground that his wife,
Charity, engaged in amorous affairs with the ex-Executive Director of Law Union
and Rock Insurance Plc, Mr Olusegun Ilori. Mr. Ilori was at the time of filing
the divorce petition Executive Director of Law Union, while Charity was Project
Manager before they were unceremoniously removed from the insurance company.
The
GistPlus has it that the court in its judgment also ordered Ilori and Charity,
to jointly pay N500,000 damages for the trauma and trespass, they caused the
easy-going Mr. Ogwugwa and particularly for the irresponsible acts of Ilori in
ruining the matrimonial home of Mr. Ogwugwa. It will interest you to know that
the divorce petition was initially filed before a Lagos State High Court,
before it was re-filed before a Delta State High Court, Kwale, when the
petition was struck out by Justice Dawodu Williams.
Our
investigation has it that what led to collapse of this union contracted in
1994, started sometime in the year 2003, when the Lagos businessman’s wife,
Charity started excusing herself to receiving phone calls at odd hours of the
day therefore, the husband became suspicious. Between December 2003 and
February 2004, the hard-working husband found an amorous text from Segun Ilori
to his wife, he summoned the courage by calling both of them and cautioned them
about the misconduct to which both vehemently denied any sexual relationship.
Just
as it is written in the Holy book, that every sin shall one day come to the
open, weeks later after cautioning the adulterous ex-insurance staff, on April
18, 2010, Mr. Ogwugwa sent an email that could only be shared between two
lovers to his wife, she wasted no time to acknowledged the mail on April 19,
2010, shortly after, she forwarded same mail to Mr. Ilori and in error
forwarded a copy back to the husband. This opened floodgate of suspicion that
led to the discovery of several amorous email messages between the two
insurance office lovers. Upon
being confronted by her husband, Charity confessed to having an adulterous and
unprotected oral sex with her boss in the office on several other occasions.
Consequently,
Mr. Ogwugwa sought the dissolution of the marriage on the ground that the
marriage had broken down and the custody of the two children produced by the
marriage and N20 million as special and general damages for the trauma,
tresspass and irresponsibility of Mr. Ilori, the party cited in the divorce
petition as the person responsible for the collapse of the marriage. In her
judgment, the presiding judge, Justice Jahegho Williams, said: “I
have carefully considered this petition. They are not contradicted or
controverted and as such, assumed to be correct. This court, therefore, has no
option in the absence of any other fact militating against the petition, has
been proved as required by law. I, therefore, dissolve the said marriage of
November 25, 1994. Further, I give custody of the children to the petitioner
(the husband). “I also award the sum of N500,000 against Charity and Olasegun
Ilori, jointly as special and general damages for the trauma and tresspass of
them particularly for the irresponsible acts of Segun Ilori in ruining the
matrimonial home of the petitioner.”
When we visited the
Yaba office of Law Union and Rock Insurance Plc, we found out that the
insurance company has since relieved Mr. Ilori and Charity of their jobs. The
adulterous woman who is a member of Lazarus Group at St. Dominic Catholic
Church, Yaba, Lagos, a graduate of the University of Benin have since upon her
sack from Law Union registered a company called Desmond Richard Ltd, where she
is the MD and Chief Executive Officer. Before her employment at Law Union,
Charity has previously worked with NEM Insurance Plc as Insurance Underwriter.
Also a Chairperson of the Accident Offices Committee, Nigerian Insurers
Association, while Mr. Ilori is now heading Efficient Accounts Limited located
in Ikeja area of Lagos as the Principal Consultant/Chief
Client Officer.
