The story was everywhere last month that divorce-seeking Nollywood actress, Chika Ike, got N5million from a movie producer to shave her hair for a movie role. Now it's the turn of Ebube Nwagbo who is also claiming she accept to shaved her hair for the love of her job and money.
However, findings by THE GIST PLUS indicates that these babes are not paid as much as they are claiming in the media. A source, who is a top insider, revealed that the N5million cheque that Chika Ike flashed on the media through a blogger, was a not real...
The source said, "Don't believe everything you hear from ladies. Chika Ike's fee as an actress in any movie is not up to N800,000 as at today. Ebube can't even get more than N500,000 for a movie role. So its just not true that she was paid N5m. The cheque is just for the camera so as to make people interested in the movie before it is released but she didn't get the physical cash."
Reminded that acting just any role is different from shaving your hair completely, the sources directed Olufamous.com to go ask people like Hilda Dokubo, Bimbo Akintola and other senior actresses who have shaved their hair for movie roles in the past.
Hear him: "Since the day she posted that cheque on the internet till today, I assure you that even two million has not entered her account. She got one point something million because of the hair thing. But she somehow convinced them [the producers] that the cheque will make the movie popular before it is released.
"Have you ever seen where an actress will post her real earnings on the internet before? Omotola and Genevieve have made more than this before but nobody heard anything. So forget it!"
Also, someone close to actress Ebube Nwagbo, who also shaved her hair recently, told THE GIST PLUS that the money is no where near N5million but refused to give further details.
