AFRICA’S most populous country has reason to
celebrate. According to Nigeria’s health ministry, the West African country has
officially claimed control over the Ebola outbreak ravaging nearby nations, The
Gist Plus can reveal that all hands in the country is truly doing their
best to fight the spread of Ebola, recently the Senate Speaker, David Mark
said: “The Ebola Virus Disease is a national issue and is not particular about
one organ of the government to fight.
“Even
the federal government, National Assembly and the state governments and are all
united in the fight against this deadly disease.
“All
of us are working towards curtailing its spread and everyone has a role to
play. If you know anyone who has contracted the disease, then, you must report
such person, but one organization that seems not to be doing anything in this
direction is Diamond Bank of Nigeria, despite their mission of “consistently
exceed customer expectation by providing value-adding solutions through
professional and highly motivated people, delivering excellent financial
performance in all markets where we operate”. They have failed to join hand to
fight Ebola in Nigeria.
Our
investigation has it that in most branches of the bank visited in Lagos against
other bank’s branches, we observed that Diamond Bank those not have Sanitizer
placed in the bank premises, No equipment to possibly check customer’s coming
into the bank of possible Ebola infection. Customer’s to most branches of
Diamond bank in Lagos especially at this time of fighting the spread of Ebola
has free entry and exit of the bank. Many customers of Diamond Bank is pleading that the management of the bank do something urgently in this regard.
