Why I killed my brother - Nigerian US Army deserter

Nigerian US Army deserter, Allen Williams Abiodun, 52, who was arrested on February 20, 2013, for allegedly killing his younger brother, a Merchant Navy personnel in Imude community, Oto Awori Local Government area of Lagos, has finally opened up on why he committed the dastardly act.

The six-footer confessed to Crime Alert that he stabbed the deceased, Allen Olawale Ayetimi, 24, to death, following continuous threat on his life by Olawale.

The late Olawale was reportedly sleeping when Williams allegedly stabbed him in the head, neck and jugular.

After allegedly committing the devilish deed, Williams reportedly dumped Olawale’s remains in an uncompleted building foundation behind their compound and, covered it with leaves.

Report said he thereafter, took his late brother’s ATM card, Merchant Navy uniform and phone.

Crime Alert gathered that the deceased only returned from an official trip to Port Harcourt at about 11pm that fateful day. Although, he was based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, his mission to Lagos, as reliably gathered, was to settle a score between his elder brother and their mother.

On arrival, the late Olawale reportedly washed his uniform, took his bath and shared a brief moment with his mother and siblings in the shop they were confined to,during which he informed them of his intention to convince his brother to accept them back to the main building, unaware that he would never live to see his mission accomplished.

Before retiring to the bedroom which he shared with his elder brother, Olawale was said to have instructed one of his sisters to boil water for him to bath the next morning.

Apprehension set in next day, after his sister went to inform him that the hot water was ready, only to discover his blood-stained clothes on the floor without any sight of him. As she was about to leave, she reportedly met Williams, who informed her that Olawale had gone to the bank.

Unsure of what to do, she reportedly alerted her mother who raised alarm that created a scene in front of the building.

A neighbour who claimed to have seen Williams dragging what he suspected to be Olawale’s body into the bush told Crime Alert: “I came out at about 1 am to ease myself, only to notice some movements. Out of curiosity, I peeped to see what it was, only to find Williams dragging something on the floor.

“When I finished from the toilet, he was returning from where he went. I noticed his hands were stained with blood and out of curiosity, I asked where the blood came from and he said he just killed a goat. Since I did not suspect anything, I went inside to sleep. It was when I heard a shout from their compound in the morning that I was compelled to disclose what happened.”

This revelation reportedly led to William’s arrest after which he was handed over to the police.

However in this interview with Crime Alert at the State Criminal Investigations Department, Yaba, Monday, where he was paraded alongside some robbery suspects that have been terrorizing Lagos, it was observed that Williams was not coherent with his words. He simply stated that the deceased was never his brother.

According to him, “He is not my brother. He is Ogunmadede’s son. What happened on that very day was that as I was in my room at midnight, somebody pointed a torch light in my face. And I said hey man, you know you have been threatening me. The next thing I did was to reach for a cutlass. I moved over and stabbed him in the head in order to act safe. It did not look easy for me to kill him”

Asked why he chased his mother and siblings from the main building, he denied that stating: “ I am a US soldier for your information. I only escaped and returned home in 1992 because of a lady I fell in love with from the Ogunmade family in Ondo State. But when I returned, she dumped me and I could not go back”.

Back to the question about his mother, he said, “I did not chase my mother away. In fact, she was in her office in Ikeja when the incident occurred”.

Asked how that was possible since he said the incident occurred at midnight, he simply stared at this reporter. At a point, he started behaving funny like one who is mentally deranged, saying things that were not relevant to the issue at hand.

Investigation carried out in his community revealed that he was feigning to be mentally deranged, in order to be let off the hook.

One of his relatives who spoke on condition of anonymity said: “ He has never had any mental problem since I knew him. He is just pretending so that one will think he is a mad man”.

Meanwhile, his mother and siblings are currently gripped with fear over the possibility of Williams’ release. But police operatives assured they would conduct a test on him to ascertain his mental state before charging him to court.   Vanguard report:

Ceecon Boss Chima Anyaso and Adanna Nzeribe Get Engaged

About a year and half after ending his marriage to Onyeka Odiegwu, Ceecon Oil and Gas boss Chima Anyaso is engaged again. He proposed to his girlfriend of six months, Adanna Nzeribe, last night in Dubai during her 25th birthday.

This will be Chima's third attempt at matrimony in the last five years. He was briefly married to former Governor Orji Uzor Kalu's daughter, Neya Kalu. Neya walked out of the union after a wine carrying ceremony that held in 2009. Chima then married Onyeka in 2011 but that marriage lasted less than a year. He's engaged again. But you know what they say, third time's a charm.

Adanna is the daughter of late music legend Harry 'Moscoe' Agada but her mum later married Arthur Nzeribe so she's Adanna Nzeribe. Congrats to them. See a photo from her birthday party after the cut.

Mikel Obi set to wed Delta Soap beauty queen, Sandra Okagbue?

This is according to City People. Below is how they are reporting it:

"The two love birds who have been dating for almost 3 years now have decided to seal the relationship. Their introduction comes up next Sunday March 31 at Sandra's family home in Onitsha. This development will definitely not come as a surprise to most of their friends. This is because their romance has grown stronger by the day that Sandra has been a live-in-lover of the Chelsea midfielder in his UK home.

They met about three years ago during one of Mikel's visit to Nigeria and they've been together ever since. According to family sources, Mikel is so in love with Sandra that he has invested millions to settle her family, most especially the family's residence located at Ajao Estate, which had Mikel's financial blessing.

Sandra Okagbue won Miss Delta Soap beauty pageant in 2010 and she's the daughter of the late Obi of Onitsha, Obi Ofala Okagbue.

UPDATE: Three University Runs Girls Beheaded by Sugar Daddy

This is why I always preach that ladies should be careful with their craze for materialism but some people just don't want to listen. Sleeping with strange RICH men for money is very dangerous.

Below is the sad story of this three beautiful girls:

Three corpses of female students whose heads have been beheaded was thrown from a Range Rover sport jeep at Ijebu-Ode/Ibadan road on Monday morning by men suspected to be their Sugar Daddies.

One of the girl is fair in complexion with UNILAG identity card (Yetunde Ajao) inside her hand bag. The second girl is an OOUITE student (Oyindamola Esan) also fair in complexion and kind of tall. The last girl is short, plumpy and dark [as seen in the photo above].

Anyone who knows them should kindly notify their friends or family members. I hear it's a gory sight.

What can I say.... Please people should stop this evil acts!

What Marriage Is Doing To Me –– Actress Uche Elendu Opens Up

Sexy Nollywood actress, Uche Elendu has been missing in action in the movie industry for some time now. Her long absence is not unconnected to her marriage to Mr Igweanyiba.
So how has married life treated you and your daughter?

Well so far so good, I am still young in marriage but no bitter experience yet and I hope it goes on that way. I’m happy, I married my friend and he has been my pillar of strength and support. My daughter is four years old now, which means I have been married for that long. I have been able to create a comfortable balance by the grace of God to manage my family and career effectively without any setback.

How did you meet your husband?

(Laughs) Funny enough, my husband was a fan, who kept calling to appreciate me. Sometimes, I answer his calls and most times I tell my personal assistant to pick the call and tell him that I am busy. But that did not deter him, he was persistently calling and insisting that he saw me on the screen and just knew that I am his wife.

He was bent on seeing me and getting to know me better. After a couple of months of persistent calling, I thought I should see this patient man and then I invited him over and the rest of the story resulted in this beautiful ring in my finger...(smiles)

What is different since you got married, what good has it done to you?

Definitely, marriage has given me a sense of responsibility and also made me a fulfilled woman.

How would you describe your husband...How romantic is he?

(Laughs), very romantic in his own unique way.

Your husband was a big fan before marriage...Does he still watch your movies?

A whole lot, he does. He is a big critic so most times he watches my movies to criticise and also commend me.

When you act a sexy role, as a professional how does he react to your kisses on set?

It is funny because all the while I have not noticed anything different in his reactions when he is watching my movies. He knows I am just doing my job; he has been to location to watch me, so he knows there are lots of people behind the camera. When he watches maybe a scene I’m supposed to kiss and I did not do it well, he would ask if the guy had a bad breath... (Laughs).

What is your view on sexual harassment in Nollywood and what do you think should be done about it?

There is sexual harassment in every sector of life; in the banks, corporate world, any where you can think of. It does not only happen in Nollywood. I’ve never experienced it though I have heard about it. I don’t understand why some girls that are being asked out by either producer, actors and so on term it as harassment. As an adult if a man asks you out and you feel you don’t like him or you’re not up to it, you say “NO” and that is it. I don’t think anyone would rape you.

Seyi Shay Speaks On Music and Why Men See Her As Sex Symbol

Female Rapper, Seyi Shay was formerly part of the UK girl band, From Above. She retruned to contribute her bit to the Nigerian music industry. She is currently signed on to Flytime Music and has two singles out - Erawo and Loving Your Way. Below is what she told Punch about her experiences:

My Background and how it all started

I am Oluwaseyi Joshua but popularly called Seyi Shay. I am from Ife in Osun State. I am a rap artiste. I was born and raised in the United Kingdom. I went to Queens College, Yaba, Lagos for a couple of years but completed my secondary school in England, where I also attended the University of East London. I read business management.

Me, my music

Music found me. I grew up in a household of three other siblings (I’m the youngest), my sister sang in the church choir with my mother. She used to write songs and I watched her write and sing songs when I was about four years. Also, my brother was a disc jockey and he used to practise at home. At the age of 14 (I am 26 now), I became a professional singer. I joined London Community Gospel Choir, my school choir, on an annual tour to Japan. I was 14, going to 15 and I spent my 15th birthday on stage in Japan. I got my first pay for doing music.

Later, the band broke up, my mother died a year later and I found myself in another girl band. It was formed by two European girls, one Mauritian and one mixed-race girl and me. We had this idea of being like the new Spice Girls and then Matthew Knowles took a trip to London one time with Beyonce Knowles. He was asked to come and check out a new group who wanted to be like the next Spice Girls. He came to one of our rehearsals and that was the day he said, ‘I want to sign you girls and take you up.’

Experience with Beyonce

With the band, I did some great things. We toured with Beyonce and we had our reality show called, ‘Breaking From Above’ which aired in 166 countries around the world. We also had an album also called, ‘Breaking From Above.’ The group split amicably in 2012.

Journey to Nigeria

The day before my mother died, she told me in Yoruba that I would still end up in Nigeria and that resounds in my head. I met Sound Sultan early 2011 in England. He came into a studio I was working and he was impressed by my song. We just hit it off, recorded a song together and shot the video the next day because we were so excited by each other’s talent.

Success

I would attribute it to hard work, years of experience and believing in God. I am a female but men would always see me as a sex symbol.

My name Seyi Shay

My sister would always call me Seyi Shay. Moreover, when I was in the group, From Above, our manager did not like the way my name was spelt, so he used to spell it ‘Shay’ because it was easier for new people to understand it.

Entertainment in Nigeria

There is not much stability, security, or discipline out here. Everything just happens how it happens. In the UK and America, singles are measured by the song and chart position, which we do not have here. Here, singles are measured by the videos. Here you do not make money out of radio play but there is a lot of work you have to do as an artiste. I am facing challenges as an artiste and the biggest is that I am a female. Being a female might make me an easy sell on stage but there is a lot of sexism and bias in the industry.

Leisure

I cook, go to the gym and spa. I do not even have a beauty routine. I just eat whatever and I dance it off. If I have time, I will go to the gym to work it off. I eat anything I like because food is meant to be eaten, indulged in, and enjoyed.

Fashion

When I’m off stage, I dress comfortably. I always make sure I have my face tidy so I can look like a normal girl, which is actually what I am. When I am on stage or in front of the camera, I become my alter ego because then everything is all about sequins and glitter.

Why I Went Into Prostitution ––Female Gospel Singer Confesses

The story of Caroline Sam, the gospel singer popularly known as Maheeda, is pathetic but inspiring. She was raised as an orphan who hit the street at a tender age of 13 to fend for herself during which time she became a prostitute. In fact, Maheeda could not ascertain her real names because she was raised by foster parents whose name she adopted.

Now, things have changed as Maheeda, a mother of one, has turned her life and eventually became someone to reckon with in the music industry. She attracted attention to herself, not because her song was extra-ordinary, but because of the fact that she appeared weird so much that her almost nude pictures were everywhere, and she was living big...

Recently, the ‘Naija Bad Girl’ as she’s used to be called, turned a new creature by giving her life to Christ, which has made her embrace gospel music as against the secular that shot her into the limelight.Below is Mageeda's sad but inspiring story:

What is happening to Maheeda?
That depends on what you mean particularly.
Of course, it’s about what you are known for, music?

Yeah, I got born again but I’m still a musician and an entertainer. I have been working on my album and I will be shooting a video soon. That’s it basically.

How many tracks are you looking at and who are you working with on the new album?

I’m working on a good news album, which could also be called, gospel music. I’m working on about 15 tracks and I’m working with Black Jersey in Surulere, Lagos. Also, I’m working with Cupit in FESTAC; I’m working with just two producers. We are looking at about two more tracks and we hope to get through this month or early next month.

Coming from a secular music background, how easy is it to compose gospel tunes?

It’s actually easy, although, in the beginning, it wasn’t because I was confused. There is this mentality that when you are born again, you start working on your outer appearance and not inner while it’s suppose to be inside and then outside. I also started the same way like trying to change my looks and the rest. So, it was indeed kind of difficult composing songs because I did not have enough word of God in me but after then I had to relax for like a year, going to church, listening to pastor Chris, teaching me and I’m still learning so I have enough words to put in my songs, so now I’m ready.

Which of the pastor Chris are you talking about and is it that this pastor attends to you personally from the way you are talking?I’m talking about Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. I have never seen pastor Chris in person but he’s so real to me like the way we are talking now.

You are still in the music industry despite switching to gospel. What relationship do you have with secular acts you used to mingle with?We are still friends. I take the males like my brother and the ladies as my sisters. The mothers know my story as an orphan so they are my mum. I was confused before because I’m an orphan but now I have realized that the Christian family is my family. I used to have boy friends, I had like two or three, I used to be the ‘Naija Bad Girl’ but I changed it. I did not push them aside, I pray for them always so they can see the light the way I did. Initially, going to them was difficult because I was not strong but now I go to them, we pray together and share the word.

Did you encounter a particular incident that made you become a born again?

Honestly, it was the same words in the Bible, the same ministration. It was just time because the words that I heard that transformed me were the same words some other people heard. Although, at that time, I was sick and all sorts of tests were conducted on me including HIV, pregnancy and others, and the doctor said I was alright but I was still sick and it was like my head was about to blow up. Later, I went to the church on a weekday and I lied down at the altar and was talking to God that ‘you have taken all my family already and now I am feeling like this’. I left and went to look for my boyfriend but I was still not feeling fine. I was feeling that my life was not normal, that I might die if I did not surrender my life to Christ. And I kept getting the message that ‘you are neither hot nor cold’, I got the message through phone and later in the church, so that was all and I became a new creature.

How easy was it to leave your usual ways?

I must tell you I did not have to pray about it. I just developed the habit of reading my Bible regularly and all those things just stopped without struggling: masturbation, boys getting attracted to me etc. And I have not stopped reading my Bible. In fact, it has become a habit.

You were so daring, posting almost nude pictures of yourself when you came into the industry and people were talking about you. Some felt you must be a prostitute. What would you say to this?Yeah, I was a prostitute and I’m not ashamed to say it. It’s past tense and we all have our past. The beauty of it is that if Christ has done something in your life and you can’t say it, what is the need? I think I went through all that so I can really speak out. I have been through all that so I can speak, talk to the girls who are still into it and make myself an example. Although, it’s not nice for people to hear and it’s not something to be proud of but for the sake of those prostitutes outsides, I have to say it.

Did you become an orphan by loosing your parents or you never knew them?

I had my mum but she decided to leave me with a neighbour before leaving the house, after seven years she came back and she died, and that is all they know about me

What led you to music in the first place and what made you think you can sing?

I have always loved singing and may be the India films we used to watch as kids also formed part of the interest. I could remember I used to sing when washing plates and doing stuffs and I always wanted to do all that had to do with music and drama in primary school When I was old enough to sponsor myself, I decided to do music, and later, professionally.

You lost your mum, how did you put yourself together?

The lady my mum left me with in our compound took care of me through primary school. After that, I felt I was being maltreated so I ran away. I think I ran away when I was 14 or so and I was surviving on my own by doing house help, bar attendant, and of course, the club girl, so that was how I survived.

What was your mission when you decided to sing professionally?

I actually wanted money and fame but basically, I felt I was nobody and I wanted to make somebody out of myself. I wanted people to know about this orphan and probably make a voice to speak for the orphans. The initial push and motive was good but frustration later set in, the promotion, trying to come out, and so I started doing weird things, almost getting naked on the Internet, looking for more attention to put me there because money was not doing it for me anymore. My beauty was not doing it for me any more and I was like may be I should go more crazy but I just wanted to make somebody out of nobody.

Some say you changed your way because you got married?

That is not true. My husband is white and you know white people support their wives. My husband said he didn’t want to be involved in my career and I should also keep his daughter out of it. I was actually praying for it before he said it. My husband has been very supportive for years; he took me to South Africa to shoot my first video. He has spent millions on my career.

How long have you been married and how many kids do you have together?

We have been married for about two years but there’s no child yet. I had my daughter before I met him but he adopted my daughter.

How did you both meet and what is keeping you from having children for him?

I met him in Port Harcourt eleven years ago; we have been together before my music. We are waiting on the Lord for children.

As an orphan who has seen both sides of life, what has this made of you?

It makes me strong. It makes me feel blessed. Instead of me thinking of being an orphan and be angry, it makes me feel I’m blessed, I’m experienced because I feel God kind of prepared me to liberate people so, I’m blessed and I thank God for giving me a voice and making me a source of inspiration to some.

How true is it that White men stick to Nigerian women because they are good in bed irrespective of their ways of life?It sounds true because devil likes to bring his truth from the real truth. After becoming a born again, in my vision, I realized that the white are not as strong as we are spiritually. And God made me understand He’s taking us to them to change them. Over there, you are free to do whatever you like but there is a reason why God is joining these two together. But of course, devil has turned everything to sex. If a woman is beautiful, well curved, yes, we are sexy and of course, there is something that makes the man to succumb to the woman even when he’s angry, so that is not far from the truth.

What was your first experience as a prostitute like?

It was strange, even though I can’t really remember (laughs). What I can remember is that it was strange. I was very young but I had to do it. It was scary I think.

At what point did you decide to stop prostitution and what made you stop?

That’s actually a very good question because even after getting married I still have this urge of going out to meet a man. But I felt it should not be so. I’m trying to let people know there is a spirit behind prostitution, if not, why after getting married, I have everything, I live in Lekki, I’m driving a very big car and my husband gives me whatever I want, so why would I still feel like going into prostitution? There is a spirit behind it. I continued prostitution even after getting married. The only thing that changed me was being born again and being delivered.

That means you kept long list of men while you were doing secular music?

Yeah. I was so bad that if I had this boy friend and he messed up I just moved to the next one. That was basically why I did the track, Oko Yapa (husbands are numerous). They were not given me money so if you messed up I moved to the next because there were many of them.

It means you have a very high libido that if this guy is not getting it right you try the next one?

(Laughter) Oh my God. Is that the truth? No o! I think I was just bad that I used to judge them at every slight mistake. I was bad that if I was with my boyfriend and I saw a fine boy, I would still make passes at him. The devil makes us think it’s in our nature but its not so.

Did you at anytime have crush on any guy in the entertainment industry?

Crush, crush…wait o, I have to be very sure. It should be so but I can’t remember.

May be Tuface?

No, I did not have crush on Tuface. I respect Tuface, I like him so much and I respect him a lot. I’m sorry if all Nigerian male artistes are reading this.

Did you date any?

I dated some but I don’t think they would want me to say it. It’s of no use because there are better things to talk about now.

People think there is no much money in gospel music. What is your reaction?

That is what you think, you think there is no much money in gospel music but I am there and I can tell you there is so much money. I think gospel artistes don’t just brag, it’s the secular ones who come to the television to show stuffs which is not bad but the gospel musicians don’t feel like showing off. But believe me they are making money.

Tell us about your background?

I was told my father was from Edo State and my mother, Igbo. My mum named me Caroline but Sam, which is my surname, is the name of my guardian who my mother left me with.

Men Can't Look At Other Women When They Are With Me –– Actress Halima Abubakar

Maybe some married woman need to learn husband-keeping tricks from Halima:

Actresses date married men and some of the men who eventually marry them do not tell them they are married. Is your movie based on happenings in the movie industry? There are so many actors that I have not met or worked with. There is no way I can put one person’s story or what I read in the papers as my story for a movie. This is what happens in every sector. It is general. This is my first job and maybe that is why people are talking about it.

How did you move from Halima who played waka pass roles to lead actress?
It is just God’s time and it is destiny. This is the time God wants me to be recognised. I don’t think 11 or 12 years is too small. It is already a long time. I grew up in the eye of the people. I knew I would get here at a point with hard work and focus. That was what I did. Now, I can take a break. I can even go and rest.

How did your parents take it when you got back home?
I got the beating of my life. When I got back home, my parents welcomed me. My mother even gave me food and made sure I ate very well. I was relaxing when my father came and beat me badly. My dad didn’t talk to me for three months and we were staying in the same house. My life is an open book. I don’t usually like something that is not true to be said about me. That is why I always say the truth myself.

How did you survive when you came to Lagos?
I came to Lagos with N7, 000. I slept in different peoples’ homes. There was this actress, her name is Bukky. She is no longer in the industry. I stayed partly in her house. She told me her mother wouldn’t accept my staying in their house, so whenever her mother came to her room, I would have to hide. I did that for two weeks and I was sleeping on the floor. I got tired of that after two weeks. I had to go back to my aunt’s house and begged her to allow me to stay in her house. She didn’t agree so I had to go back to Kano.

But we learnt you were pregnant for an actor…
That was just a movie. Just because one actress did something bad, you don’t have to generalise. Are you saying that all the politicians in Nigeria, are thieves? Everybody cannot be bad. Everybody cannot be a ‘runs’ girl. You don’t know me, you only know my profession. A lot of people are not feeling good because of what have been said about them. I am an example back then. People were saying negative stuff about me; I was told I wasn’t good enough. It was a terrible period for me. If I see people who come now to encourage me and tell me, ‘didn’t I tell you that you will succeed’, I just look at them and laugh. It is a lie. Nobody told me anything.

We also learnt you fought over a man…
I have never fought over any man. Men are just too many. I cannot fight over any man. Why will a girl fight me over a man? The kind of men I have dated (they are not many though) don’t have eyes for other women when they are with me. If you are in a relationship with me, you are really in a relationship with me. There will be nothing like another girl by the side. I have never been in such situation.

Why do they stick to only you and not bother looking at other babes?
Why will a man have roving eyes? If you want to date other people, then we have to break up. I don’t have that kind of strength. I can’t be thinking of one man when he is on top of another lady. It is just that men lie a lot. You hardly know a man who is saying the truth when he is saying he loves you. But all men and women are not the same any way.

So rich men ask you out?
Of course they ask me out. Why won’t they ask me out? It is normal. It is the truth. But if I start it, I might end up dating half of the Nigerian men. I am not like that. If you love me that much, then come and marry me. If you are married, then there is no need starting a conversation with you.

Sexy Actress Nuella Njubigbo Exposes Nollywood Bad Girls

Controversial actress, Nuella Njubigbo, who was recently accused of sleeping with a South-South governor for financial benefits, is set to expose the mystery behind the quest for power, fame and stardom in the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood.

In case you don't know, the journey to stardom is filled with dirty competition...

She exposes the dirty stuffs ladies engage in to survive in her new movie titled Jujuwood, directed by Tchidi Chikere. "Jujuwood is a movie about girls in the entertainment world, their lusts for fame and power and the length they are willing to go to be famous.”

Cast includes Funke Akindele, Halima Abubakar and Ruth Kadiri. The movie x-rays the challenges and hassles of being an-up-and-coming act in Nollywood. It also exposes how low some starlets will stoop to achieve their dreams of being celebrities.

Jujuwood is slated for released in April. Watch out!

Why Should A Respected Woman Dress Like This?

It seems there is a bad spirit inspiring respected ladies join the 'bad'-wagon of boobs exposing girls.

But what's the craze for showing cleavages among ladies these days that even Hilda Dokubo, an evangelist, couldn't resist the temptation? If she of all people could dress like this to a public function, I wonder the kind of morals she wants to pass to young ladies through her preaching.
