Civil Servant Sues Deeper Life Church for Alleged Trespass on Land

Mr Usman Bello, an employer of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), on Thursday, sued the Incorporated Trustees of Deeper Life Christian Ministry for alleged trespass.
Bello’s counsel, Mr Teslim Agboola, who filed the suit, claimed that the church encroached on his client’s 8000sq metre property at AMAC Estate, Plot R13, Sabon Lugbe, Airport Road, Abuja. The plaintiff said that he was the rightful owner of the land and that he bought it from an organisation, called Sahal Islamic, on Jan. 12, 2010, for N20 million.
“On May 20, 2011, when the plaintiff visited the said property in company of his surveyor, he discovered that the defendant had built a church on it and fenced it.
“Thereafter, all efforts to resolve the dispute over the land’s ownership with the defendant failed and we, therefore, pray the court to declare the plaintiff the rightful owner of the property.
“We, therefore, urge the court to give an order, compelling the defendant to pay N5 million to the plaintiff, as damages he suffered and also for it to vacate the land,’’ Agboola said.
The defendant’s counsel, Mr Daniel Osiagor, however, filed a counter-claim deposed to by Mr Christian Umoh, the resident pastor of the church, denying the plaintiff’s claims.
Umoh said that the defendant bought the piece of land for N18 million from Omo Farms Ltd, which initially bought it from a Madara Satulnurulhuda, a company.
“The plaintiff, being a staff of AMAC, engaged in abuse of office by using his position to tamper with the defendant’s file in his office.
“The value of the property is beyond the reach of a civil servant and the plaintiff is, hereby, put to the strictest proof of ownership and source of income,’’ Osiagor said.
He, therefore, urged the court to dismiss the plaintiff’s claims, saying that they “were frivolous, speculative and tantamount to gross abuse of office’’.
Osiagor, therefore, asked the court to declare the plaintiff a trespasser and grant an order of perpetual injunction against him and his agents from further laying claim to the piece of land.
Justice Angela Otaluka, after hearing both counsel, adjourned the case to July 11, for continuation of hearing.

UNILAG Student Tricked & Raped By 2 Boys Shares Her Story

She was kidnapped and raped in turns by two friends, one of them close to her family, but she could not tell anyone because the guys took her nude photos and she was afraid of the stigma. The guys posted the photos on the internet and somehow her relations abroad saw them.

OluFamous.Com gathered that it was her relations outside the country that contacted her mother and expose the rape of this UNILAG undergraduate. Below is what they did to the lady as stated by her:

“Babajide came to our house to treat our dog. In the process, he requested for my phone number and I reluctantly gave him. He started calling me and told me he would like to go out with me.

“But I told him I already had a boyfriend whom I loved. Yet, he kept calling me, saying he was not interested in just going out with me but wanted to marry me. Aside that, he kept monitoring my movements and at a point, I deleted his contact on my phone.

“I was returning home for a weekend in April, a car stopped by my side at Idumota bus-stop. Jide was sitting beside a driver who was unknown to me.

“On sighting him, I walked past. But the next thing he did was to hold me by the hand, dragged me into the car and drove to his house.

“When he got home, he started beating me and tore my clothes, asking what I wanted that he could not give me. He instructed me to unlock my phone and when he discovered that I used my boyfriend’s name as password, he resumed the beating.

“At a point, he gave me his phone to speak with some of his friends who told me I was in for trouble, for turning down a member of their unnamed cult, threatening that they would kill me for treating him shabbily.

“Thereafter, he raped me and when he was done, his friend took his turn despite my plea. When he saw I was bleeding, he stopped and started begging me. At that point, he brought out his phone and started taking my nude pictures. I made attempt to cover my face but he hit me on the head with a bottle and continued taking the shots.

How I escaped
“I begged him to allow me call my mother to give him some money for my release but he refused. I also appealed to him to delete my pictures when he started begging me.

“I stayed in that room all night till the next day when he went out to get me some drugs. Immediately he stepped out, I tried the door and discovered it was not locked from outside. I quickly changed into one of my dirty clothes in my bag and escaped.

“But I could not tell anyone at home. When my elder brother asked what the problem was on seeing the blood stained clothes, I told him I was involved in an accident and when my mother insisted on knowing what the problem was, I told her I fought with a course mate. She insisted on going to school with me on seeing the magnitude of the injury but I prevented her.

“Barely had I settled down than Babjide called, threatening to kill me if I disclosed what happened to anyone. As if that was not enough, his friends also called and threatened me as well.”

The alleged rapist, Babajide Bashorun, who claimed she was his girlfriend, has been charged to court.

Update On 22yrs Old Student Who Gave Birth Inside Toilet

The baby delivered in the toilet of Moremi Hostel by a 400-level student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Oyinlola Rotimi, has been named Nifemi, Okikiola. Oyinlola, who gave birth Tuesday, was wrongly accused of attempting to flush her baby boy down the septic tank.

But it was later learnt that she is actually inexperienced in child bearing, as she had thought she had a stomach upset not knowing she was in labour.

The 22-year-old mother, studying Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, had told our Punch that the circumstances that surrounded the delivery of her baby made her “a celebrity.”

She expressed delight with the birth of the baby, describing her experience as “unforgettable”. When asked how soon she would have another baby, she said, “not so soon,”

It was gathered that the naming of the baby was low-key due to the examination going on in the school.

One of Oyinlola’s friends, who spoke on condition of anonymity on Wednesday night, said she is “extremely happy” at the naming.

She said, “Today (Wednesday) is one of the days I have seen my friend looking so happy, she is extremely joyous. Although, this is not the actual way we planned it. We should have celebrated more than this if not for the fact that examination is ongoing.

“Most of our colleagues are taking exam and that is the major reason for the small celebration. I am hopeful that when the baby clocks one, we will celebrate it in a bigger way because he is our boy.”

Tonto Dikeh May Go To Jail For Smoking Igbo; She Cries That People Hate Her

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has reacted to the photos of Indian Hemp posted by Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, on the social media, boasting that "I smoke ganja".

Disclosing that Tonto Dikeh may spend the next 15 years in prison for daring to smoke Igbo and expose it, the NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju said:

“Our attention has been drawn to the post quite frankly and I can tell you that action will be taken on it. The law is clear and NDLEA has been very clear on the issue. No one is permitted to sell, use, cultivate or encourage the use of Indian hemp in Nigeria. The weed is one of the banned narcotics in the country."

To had on Friday posted photographs of a wrap of hemp and grains of the weed formed into the letters, ‘Happy birthday POKO.’

She also posted a photograph of herself and added the inscription, ‘Mi smoke ganja mi smoke weed...’ Her picture was also close-up of her face that seemed to depict her in a high state.

Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju further stated that Tonto Dike's case have already been referred to the appropriate department of the agency for investigation and prosecution.

“NDLEA Act Section 14 (b) states that any person who conspires with, aids, abets, counsels, attempts to commit or is an accessory to any act or offence referred to in this act shall be guilty of an offence under this act and liable on conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not less than 15 years and not exceeding 25 years," he said.

Possibly reacting to the criticism she has attracted to herself, Tonto Dike wrote on Instagram:

Tinubu Imposes Daughter As New Market Leader

Former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who recently lost his mother who happened to be the leader of market women in the state has plans of making his daughter take over the vacant role.
PDP has asked Tinubu to revoke his decision to impose his daughter, Shade Tinubu-Ojo, as the new leader of market women in the state.
In a statement on Monday by the PDP Lagos Publicity Secretary, Taofik Gani, he urged him to allow democracy to prevail in the selection of a new leader.
“You should allow the simple tenets of democracy to prevail in the selection of a new leader for the market women, more so as there is no cogent evidence that the nominee is a full-time market woman,” the statement said.
The former governor had allegedly announced the choice during the eighth day Firdau prayer for his mother and former leader of Association of Market Women and Men of Nigeria, Alhaja Abibat Mogaji.
Tinubu who interrupted the prayer sessions to make the decree first told the market leaders that the house where Mogaji lived and died has been willed to the association.
Before the applause that followed could die down, he went on to say: “I also want to announce to you that the new Iyaloja of Lagos is Folashade Tinubu-ojo. We are in a new era. Besides, Mama was not older than her age when she became Iyaloja.”
By this time Sade was on her feet dancing with the father, and handing her envelopes filled with cash to distribute to the Alfas.
The statement said, “The former governor plans to confirm this choice to market leaders at a meeting he has summoned for Tuesday (today) at his residence.
“This new development portends great danger for our democracy and indeed Lagos’ integrity. We are thus calling on Governor Babatunde Fashola not to sit on the fence at this auspicious time.”

Unilag Creative Arts Students Protest Against Sexual Harassment

The Creative Arts students of the University of Lagos this morning protested over alleged sexual harassment of female students in the department by their lecturers.

The students stormed the Arts block this morning with placards to register their grievance and later moved their protest to the Social Science department. Female students of the department claim their lecturers are making life difficult for them by demanding sexual favours before they can pass their courses.

The students say they have had enough and after a meeting yesterday, decided to protest against the sexual harassment that has become the order of the day. The school authority is yet to respond to these allegations. See more photos from the protest after the cut...

Police Arrests Notorious Armed Robber Inside Church

There was a mild drama on Monday in a popular church in Ota, Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State as the Police arrested a notorious armed robber with bullet wounds inside the church.

The robber was said to be one of the members of the gang that killed four members of vigilance group during operation in Ifo community, last weekend. The robber had sought refuge in the church after he escaped from Police arrest with bullet wounds before he met his waterloo.

While explaining how the suspected robber was arrested, the Police PRO, Muyiwa Adejobi said that his men acted on a tip-off that led to the arrest of the suspect while taking treatments of his injured right leg in a church in Ota area of the state.

About 20 armed robbers had on Saturday killed five members of the vigilante service during a robbery operation in Ifo area before the police chased them away.

Adejobi said; “ The suspect had with other members of the gang escaped with bullets wounds from superior fire power of the police during the said operation.

“It would be recalled that the command had placed a manhunt on the wounded fleeing robbers and particularly seeking information from members of the public on their whereabouts.

“The robber, who was arrested in a church in Ota, after a tip-off, sustained bullet injury on his right leg during the robbery operation in Ifo.

“His arrest has led to arrest of additional three members of the gang including an herbalist as well as an armourer, “ he said.

Tragedy! Bridegroom Dies In Accident on The Way to Wedding

It was indeed a tragic and devastating incident for a new bride on Monday as her husband-to-be and three of his relatives perished in an auto crash along the bad Benin-Auchi highway.

“Four persons including two men and two women, who were occupants of the Toyota Siena, with registration number USL 111 AE, died in the accident. The accident was as a result of speeding. The light rain showers equally contributed.”

On their way to the wedding introduction, the groom, his grandmother, uncle and the uncle’s wife who were riding in a Toyota Siena bus had a head-on collision with heavy duty truck belonging to Setraco Construciton Company.

They were on their way to Uromi, in Esan North East Local Government Area when the accident occurred around Iruekpen, in Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State.

Head of Operation, Iruekpen Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr. John Omokandugba, said the accident was caused by dangerous overtaking by the Toyota bus.

When the news first broke, a lot of people vilified her. It was reported that she wanted to get rid of what many would describe as a bundle of joy. People thus wondered why a 22-year-old undergraduate would try to flush away her baby in one of the toilets in Moremi Hall, her hall of residence at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

The photo above is that Oyinlola Rotimi, a 400-Level student of OAU and her baby. She has now revealed the circumstances that led to her controversial delivery of the baby inside toilet...

Segun Olugbile and Sodiq Oyeleke of Punch narrate the dramatic story of this 22-year-old student. Without clarifying the circumstances that led to the delivery in the toilet, many on the social media put Miss Oyinlola Rotimi on trial.

The student of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology at OAU delivered a baby boy last Wednesday.

While the news went round the campus, the traumatised young mother was hurriedly taken to the institution’s Health Centre by two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla. The social media was further flooded with stories that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby. The OAU management investigated the matter and found out it was not true. Rotimi, who was discharged from the hospital on Friday, has also narrated her own side of the story.

In spite of the trauma she had passed through since last Wednesday, the student, a native of Ijabe, a border town between Osun and Kwara states, says she is happy that the embarrassment she received from the controversy that surrounded the birth of her baby has turned into a blessing for her.

She says the baby’s birth has made her more popular and important in the society.

‘God has the best plan for me’
“Why would I flush or kill my baby after going through the pains of carrying him for about good nine months? I am not heartless and I thank God for my life and the safe delivery. I know God has the best plan for me and my baby. I seriously appreciate the cleaners for their assistance because I got here (health centre) before I understood everything that happened to me. I am happy that I am alive and my baby is alive too. I’m also using this opportunity to thank the VC, the doctors and nurses, my lecturers and everybody because they all stood by me. They all became my father, my mother and everything to me.

“Right now, I can call myself a celebrity and definitely I’m going to be greater than a celebrity. My baby too is going to be great. Look at the circumstance that surrounds his birth, just some days old, he is already all over in the news around the world and everybody is happy to see him or hear about his story. He will surely go beyond where I am now. He has turned me into a kind of celebrity. ”

Circumstances surrounding the baby’s birth
“I was purging all through the night and I had no idea of what labour pain was all about. Actually, I was feeling pressed, I can’t call it a labour pain because I was visiting the toilet all through the night till that morning. I just went to the toilet to go and purge when I noticed something just came out of me which I found out was the baby. The baby entered the closet. I was just there shouting, bleeding and people who saw the blood came out to help me alongside the baby.

“I was really scared! I was not expecting a baby. I went to the toilet but seeing a baby was terrifying because I was not expecting him or her to come out yet. It is absolutely not true that I took to my heels when people came to help me. It happened in Moremi Hall toilet and the toilet is a public one where everybody takes their bath, fetch water and clean up. So, some people were around fetching water, having their bath as usual, while I was in the toilet planning to defecate. My friend called the cleaner for help because she was an elderly woman. I was very scared and people around too couldn’t help because we are all young female students. The cleaner later helped to carry the baby out and brought it to the Health Centre along with me.”

Her plan for the baby
“I will continue to keep him more handsome, healthier and nurture him to attain greater height in life. But what he will become later in life is not for me to decide but he will definitely become what God wants him to become. I will just try to train him in God’s way and I am sure His (God) plan for his life will be realised.”

According to the institution’s Chief Security Officer, Mr. Paul Ogidi, Rotimi thought she had stomach upset instead of labour pains because of the bean cake she took before going to bed.

“She got to campus late at night on Tuesday and it was learnt that she could not immediately get herself something to eat but later resolved to buy beans cake within the campus. After eating the snack, she complained severely of running stomach, urinated and defecated at regular intervals.

“She felt her stomach disorder was caused by the bean cake that she took the previous night – not knowing it was labour pains.”

University law does not forbid pregnancy - OAU
Authorities of OAU have blamed the improper use of the social media for the allegation that Oyinlola attempted to flush her baby away.

The Head of Public Relations, Mr. Biodun Olarenwaju, who spoke on behalf of the management, described the incident as a “social media rumour.”

He said, “Social media is designed primarily to disseminate information. But in the Nigerian context, many people disseminate rumours. The only information that should be seen there should be those persons who have the authority to speak concerning that particular incident.

“The only truth in the social media episode is that a bouncing baby boy was delivered in the toilet of the female hostel in our university. Other tales on the social media were totally incorrect. Students should not encourage rumour mongering because of the image of the person involved. They have to be careful not to make rumour the news.”

He explained that it was legal for the student to have delivered the baby in the school, stating that universities are institutions for adults.

“It is not a crime for a student to be pregnant. There is no law or decree that states that a student should be punished, an adult for that matter, for getting pregnant. And there is no law in this university that states that an undergraduate cannot become pregnant,” he added.

‘My friend didn’t plan to kill her baby’
Rotimi’s friend, Oluwayemisi Satope, who was in Room 103, Block B of Moremi Hall, together with the undergraduate mother, the night before the incident, said Oyinlola was willing to have the baby.

She explained that there was no attempt by them to kill the boy.

She added, “The truth of the matter is that we don’t know how to go about it when we saw the baby. It was our first time and we didn’t want to make a mistake. I had to call Mama Cleaner to assist us. Immediately it happened, I was the first person to shout for help and two cleaners appeared to assist.

“Diana (Rotimi) had to spend the night on campus to enable her to prepare for her 8:00 am examination the next day, because she stays off-campus. That mid-night, she started complaining of stomach upset and was visiting toilet regularly. A few minutes to 7:00am, she went to the toilet to defecate but delivered a baby.”

And as soon as the birth and survival of the baby became known on campus, students in their characteristic manner, launched into an unsolicited naming feast for the baby. Before the official naming ceremony scheduled to hold on Wednesday (tomorrow), OAU students have named him after the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bamitale Omole.

At the Anglo-Moz Car Park of the university, they gathered and named the baby Moremigbemi (Moremi-blesses-me), Oriyomi (My-head-saves-me), Oluwadayisi (God-protects-this), Eniolorunopa (He-who-God-does-not-kill), Bamitale (Be-with-me-permanently) Omole.

Others at the Moremi Hall named the baby Orisamoremi (Deity Moremi), Moremidayisi (Moremi-protects-this), Omomoremi (Child-of-Moremi), Olorunwa (God-exists), Oniyapupo (One-with-many-mothers) Moremioku (Moremi-is-alive), Iyabo (Mother-Moremi-is-Back), among others.

Moremi is a mythical legend of the Yoruba race.

Also, the two cleaners, Mrs. Shipebi Grace and Mrs. Cecilia Ologbenla, in a chat with our correspondents, said there was no evidence to prove that Oyinlola wanted to kill her baby.

The cleaners noted that they had to force the door open when they were called to ensure the safety of Oyinlola and her baby who was crying.

According to them, the baby was in the water closet when they entered the toilet.

“She would not have wanted to attempt to kill the baby the way we saw her. She only panicked when we forced the door in. We had to force the door in because of the cry of the baby. In fact, it was one of them that came to call us, but you know some students are impatient. They didn’t confirm what happened before they started spreading rumour.”

But the undergraduate father keeps mum
Meanwhile, efforts made by our correspondents to speak with the baby’s father proved abortive. He is a 400 Level student of Mechanical Engineering, and is sitting for the second semester examination currently on at the institution.

One of his friends who spoke on the condition of anonymity explained that the young father is very sober about the development. The friend alleged that the young man and Rotimi had been friends for some time. Along the line, Oyinlola got pregnant and they decided not to abort it in order not to compound their ‘sin’.

Late Agidigbo’s creator, Fatai Rolling Dollar has been buried. The burial of the late Highlife music sage, Fatai Olagunju took place at his uncompleted building site in Ikorodu, Lagos state. Veterans like Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade, Prince Adekunle led other musicians to receive his corpse from the hospital in Surulere.
According to information, Islamic prayer was made for him at his Oko- Oba Millennium Housing Estate, given to him by Lagos State former governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Shortly after, his remains was moved to Ikorodu axis where he was finally laid to rest.
The octogenarian left behind 16 children and many wives. It’s so amazing that out of the 16 children, none was able to raise the controversial N29, 000 to balance his medical treatment until his death. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

The news making the rounds about Airtel, one of Nigeria’s telecommunication companies is not a palatable one.
Mi5 learnt that virtually all companies owned by Indians, has practically turned into slave camps with several dictatorship activities going on in there. Mi5 was informed that the Banana Island headquarters of the company is the playground where the various sadistic strategies been meted on Nigerian employees are put into final strategy.

Presently, jobs of staffers are no longer guaranteed. So bad is it that employees are said to be getting sacked on a regular basis, as Airtel seeks to cut cost by sacking experienced staffers and employing fresh graduates with Ordinary National Diploma (O.N.D) to handle strategic positions that demands so much experience. According to a source, ‘Little wonder, their services are very epileptic and so annoying’.
According to an insider, who spoke with Mi5 the situation has degenerated so much that staffers salaries are being cut down, while their working hours have increased. The source, told us that gone are the days when employees of the firm used to enjoy the special welfare packages of the company, as all those are now history.
Another source stated that since the Lagos customer care of the company relocated to Abeokuta, Ogun State, a lot of its staffers have had to resign mostly married women, as they were told to either shape in or be ship out.

You will recall that some time ago, thousands of people were sacked by Airtel, when they relocated their Abuja customer care center from Abuja to Ibadan leading to a riot of sort. Not too long ago, a wage slash also took place with salaries cut down by over 400 percent.

As it is now, the situation is such that a routine sacking exercise is carried out once in a while and employees of the company resume to their post daily wondering who would be axed next.

Nollywood star Emeka Ike is in serious scandal as we learnt, he may go to jail if he fails to rectified the issue as soon as possible.

Emeka Ike decided to give back to the community where he grew up, in Ogudu Ori-Oke Ojota Lagos state, by hosting a football tournament. The tournament was called Desert Football Tournament and was organized by Unity Football Association (UFA)
Emeka said the main reason why he decided to host the tournament was to help young talented footballers discover their talents, and thereby reduce crime rate in Nigeria. He also revealed that Tottenham and Togolese striker, Emmanuel Adebayo, has agreed to assist some stars to be identified at the football tournament, adding that some major clubs in Europe are also sending scouts to the tournament.
On the posters in the streets of Lagos, it was included that Kanu Nwankwo and the Minister of Youth & Sport, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi will be their special guests of honor.
Each team were asked to pay the sum of #3000 for registration and 16 teams participated.
Emeka Ike promised that he was going to reward the winner with the sum of 500,000 naira, the first runner up with N100,000; and the 3rd place winner will get N75,000.
Aside the popular musician, Daddy Showkey, who came to rack up the excitement of the tournament with his presence, no other public figure was present. N710, 000 Fraud: Christ Embassy’s Choir Director To Face Charges

An Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday struck out an application for the withdrawal of a N710, 000 fraud charge against a Choir Director of the Christ Embassy Church, Lagos.
The police had on May 15 arraigned the director, Sunday Eboh, who allegedly defrauded another member of the church, David Egaifa, under false pretences of helping him to purchase a Toyota bus.
Chief Magistrate Omolade Awope struck out the application when Egaifa exhibited ignorance of implications of the withdrawal. The complainant, who had earlier agreed with the accused to withdraw the suit, told court on Friday that he was not properly enlightened on the implications of withdrawing the case.
Mr. Egaife made this known after the prosecutor, Corporal Adekemi Adeniran, told him that he would not be able to bring back the case once withdrawn. “Madam, it is during this section that I learnt I can’t come back for the same case after withdrawal, but I was told that l can re-arrest Eboh if he refuses to pay my money.
“My Lord, l don’t want withdrawal again. I withdraw my application,” Mr. Egaifa said. The choir director, who lives at No. 11, Church St., Ketu, Lagos, is facing a two-count charge of false pretence and stealing. He had pleaded not guilty on arraignment, and was granted bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor said that he committed the offences in February, 2012 at 12:30 p.m., at the Christ Embassy Church, Ketu, Lagos. “The accused told the complainant that his relatives are living in United Kingdom and that they frequently sent cars home for sale. “The complainant was not totally convinced, so he asked the accused to deposit his B.Sc certificate and his NYSC discharge certificate, to be turned to him when he brings the bus.
After collecting the money, the accused ran away until last week when he turned up to demand for the certificates,” Ms. Adeniran said. She said that the offences contravened Sections 285 and 312 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Section 285 prescribes three years imprisonment for stealing while Section 312 provides for 15 years imprisonment for obtaining by false pretences.

Ex-Policeman Assaults Wife With Cutlass, Bottle & Club, Leaving Her With 12cm Deep Head Cut.

Police in Ondo State are on the trail of an ex-police officer, Tajudeen Adeniyi, over an attempt to kill his wife, Moyosola, by macheting her, inflicting a 10-centimeter deep gash on her head.

The 38-year-old suspect took to his heels immediately he inflicted the injury on his wife who has had four children for him. Adeniyi, according to investigation, has gone underground following the hint he got that the family of the wife had reported the incident to the Police. Consequently, the Police have combed the houses of his friends and family members to no avail.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen on her hospital bed, yesterday, Moyosola said her husband abandoned the house for another woman since November 2012. She alleged that her husband invaded her apartment at Plaza area of Akure at about 11 p.m on Wednesday and attacked her. According to her, the husband forced the door of the room open with the use of the mortar and attacked her with cutlass, bottle and club. She also alleged that her husband who was accompanied by two other men inflicted several machete cuts on her head and neck, making her to lose several pints of blood.

Moyosola explained that after the husband abandoned her she took their four children to their hometown in Ogotun-Ekiti. The doctor taking care of injured Moyosola, Dr. Matthew Adeyeri, told newsmen that she had about 12 centimeters cut on her head. He noted that it was sheer providence that she survived the attack. According to him, "if the cut inflicted on the woman’s neck had been as deep as the one on her head, she would have died before getting to the hospital."

The state’s Police image maker, Wole Ogodo, said men of the command were on the trail of the suspect for attempted murder.

Stella Damasus Pregnant?

According to a report, popular Nigerian actress, Stella Damasus, is pregnant and Daniel Ademinokan, the estranged husband of actress Doris Simeon, is believed to be responsible for her pregnancy.

The report further stated that Stella and Daniel are currently in the United States, where they would be until Stella will be delivered of the baby. "Stella’s two children and Daniel’s son are also with them in the States," the report added.

Stella and Daniel were both living in Abuja before they reportedly travelled to the US together.

Though there have been speculations on both Nollywood figures having a romantic relationship between them, which they both denied. They have also both denied the rumoured secret marriage they allegedly had in the US earlier in the year.
