How A Noble Hair Worker Died Inside The Factory + Why The Workers Are Revolting

It is unfortunate that our government allow foreign investors to come into Nigeria and exploit us freely. Lebanese, Chinese and Indian investors have reduced Nigerian workers in their employ to slaves. On the 12th of November, the workers of Noble Hair owned by Rebecca group incorporated of China, located along Iju Ishaga road revolted against the poor welfare package the company has forced on them.

They stood outside the entrance gate of the factory in hundreds, holding leaves in their hands as they chanted. Yours truly asked one of the workers what they are revolting against, she said:

“Make them give us better pay, how them go de pay us N500 per day, we need better pay o”

The fact is these workers work under the worst working conditions, at the end of the day, they are paid N500. In a week they make N2500, in a month they have just N10, 000 . Chikero Online also gathered that a young man lost his life weeks back inside their factory. We gathered he asked for permission to go and treat himself but the supervisor refused to allow him to go for treatment . The next morning his body was found in a gutter near the factory.

What do you think must have happened? He must have worked to death and they threw his body into the gutter so people don’t think he died inside the factory. This is the harsh conditions these Chinese, Lebanese and Indian companies force Nigerian citizens to work under in their own country yet our leaders look else where.

I couldn’t get a clearer picture of the revolt but manage this:
